Marked by Pioniering Spirit, Competence and Passion: founded in 2011 and successfully established today

These facts set us apart

We are the only Moyamoya Center in Europe specializing in treating children

  • We are also globally strong. The Moyamoya Centre represents an integrated surgical approach: we do not only operate in one arterial territory in the brain, but take into account all the affected brain arteries and their territories requiring revascularization. Our doctors use a combined method with direct and indirect revascularization operations.

  • The Moyamoya Center is located in an ideal setting: it is affiliated with the Children's Hospital of the University of Zurich. The young patients as well as their families benefit from an infrastructure specifically designed for children.

  • The Moyamoya Center thrives from the pioneering spirit of its founder. Prof. Dr. med. Nadia Khan established the institution from the ground up

  • A personal and trusting relationship with the patients and a comprehensive, long-term care are the top priorities at the Moyamoya Centre
